Car crashes into flatbed trailer in Auburn, 2 hospitalized after extrication

Two people are in the hospital after a car crashed into a flatbed trailer in Auburn Sunday afternoon.

Valley Regional Fire, Puget Sound Fire, South King Fire & Rescue, and King County Medic One responded to 2306 B St NW after receiving reports of the crash.

Authorities said a vehicle went off the road and crashed into a flatbed trailer that was parked outside of the Commercial Metals Company building.

A person was trapped inside of the crashed vehicle and had to be extricated. It took firefighters 30 minutes to remove the person from the vehicle. Officials said that person was taken to a Seattle area hospital by King County Medic One.

There was also a second person at the scene who was treated and taken by an ambulance.

The status of those injured in the crash is unknown.

Valley Regional Fire posted about the crash on X at 4:55 p.m., but the exact time when the crash happened is unknown.
